WIP: Some Souvenir Bags
Still in wip status. Very slow. A bit inconsistency when making bags due to hectic situation combo with catching up the deadline. Want to make one for me and one for sale.

They are so cute! The faces are different but the feel is the same. I think the sculptor is really really love this kind of cute faces. Usually, i always look up on particular brands for msd height but this ‘msd’ type aka baby type, particular brands I always put my eye on don’t touch my feeling yet. I like their baby dolls but not kind of like I WANT TO BUY IT NOW.

Struggling: Ordinary Sewing Life of A Mother
just to make this simple bag, i have to struggle. While listening to the screaming boys around (fighting between themselves or picking up fight with me etc. goodness), being disturbed by their activities around me, and being interrupted by other things, i do my best to make some bags for souvenir for some ppl i want to appreciate. There are another 1 finished and 1 WIP. I messed up bcs of lack of concentration but things ran well in the end. Thank God. Will make more like this with different fabric pattern.
I wish to sell something like this but of course, i must take a longer time to make it more carefully so the quality will be better than this one. I am trying to meet the deadline for these bags. So, some parts that shouldnt be sew by machine, i did it. Perhaps, i also miss 0.5mm sometimes. Haha. Really, i’m a bit annoyed if i do that when making bags. 😂😂. So, to make a more precise and better bag, i am going to spend more time to make 1 bag. Mood takes big portion here actually. With all those interruption, i struggle actually to make one even without deadline.
BJD, Abussive Side
I have been watching in community abt this. BJD is expensive hobby. So, it is a quick conclusion by some people that people in this hobby are rich and they afford every bjd-related handmade. Just price it little bit under big company price, although it is actually not good quality, still, people will buy it. I dont know. That is so WRONG to me.
I think, regardless people is rich or not in this hobby, I must appreciate their money. Ten dollars messy handmade vs 30 usd good handmade is incomparable if it is MESSY. Some money has been spent or will be spent, so make it our best. It is selling anyway. Some quality cant be seen from picture only when it comes to online selling. So, regardless we can hide the quality or not, why not setting up ourselves? Why dont we learn about good, sell-decent handmade? Not bcs it is cheap or buyer affords our handmade, so we make it like a mess. I have been watching some handmade makers are irresponsible or dont care abt their product. Money oriented and quite abussive to this hobby people.
Of course, there is price for each quality but the example i said abt 10usd and messy product means that it is actually cant be sold even at that price. In short, it is actually totally failed product. Kind of handmade that is not made by heart at all. I have seen like that. My friend was the victim. I was speechless. It happens more than once. So… i am even more speechless. I was thinking, couldnt the seller appreciate the buyer money? 1,2,3 usd is still money. Every cent is worth! If it is spent on a seller, the seller should be grateful and give what is worth from the heart. If the product is not deserved to be sold yet, then dont sell. I wonder if they think messy product deserves a price?
Some people may think, the decision is on the buyer. It is their fault if they still choose bad product. I can not think like that. Buyer may decide to choose a product but when they choose, the seller should be grateful and honored, thus giving the best based on standard from big company. Sometimes, we cant make as good as they can but at least we know and pursue the decent standard.
What i also hate is when some people apply quite standard price but for financing their learning (and they are not learning fast either).
Again, buyers choose. My writing above is my position as a crafter.
It makes me angry and disappoint how ppl abuse this hobby. *That is also one of reasons the community sometimes consists people that is money oriented (and existence oriented) and then try to kick out other people who they think are weak, doesnt have supporters, but have potential to be their competitor. They dont do that on people who spend money on their product or potentially spend money on their product. It is disgusting to see something like this. Too money oriented disgusts me already and some people still add it with feud in community.
As a buyer…I am a bit relieve when purchasing thing from an artist and the result wasnt as expected, the artist kept responsible. Very nice one. But i turned down the offering and asked for refund bcs i think i rather wait for her to learn more and know good products out there. i also rather pay 20-30 usd more to get a very good product than cheaper ones but i cant use it or it is not decent.
Yarns…Stop!
been getting email from this store, promoting discount on their yarns. I’m always drooling over their offering though always ended up in disappointing about quality. Not that it is bad but sometimes, between ‘one type of products’, there is not much difference for ME (ok. for me). Only slightly differences but nothing much or feel. Their products are affordable though. So, without discount, it makes me drool already. There are variety of yarns, a lot, but it is like…how to say it?…what i feel about their product, it’s not ‘special’ in terms of quality. The colours, the type of yarns, etc. Some yarns are unique though but I don’t know. It is just so so.
I bought a more expensive yarn from another company long time ago. The idea of the yarn was many colours on the yarns. When I knitted (or crochet? I forgot), it was soooo beautiful. Then, years after that, I bought ‘same-concept’ yarns from this cheaper store. When I crocheted it, i was like O.o”’… How come it becomes so ugly? I mean, ok, abstract but sometimes, there are some un-neat colouring and the length of the colour on the yarns is not the same. Like for example, colours are pink, red, white, grey and repeated. The grey on next repetition has different length than the previous grey. Sometimes, the red ‘spot’ is also seen on grey part. It’s just too abstract and the result somehow isn’t pretty for me to look at.
I’m trying to finishing the yarns from this company into some projects. I’m making bag now. Perhaps, next time, hat.
I must stop seeing their website and save money for others or other store’s yarns which are better in terms of quality.
I will spend money on Japanese yarns next time. I like Canadian yarns before but they have closed their online stores and moved to amazon. They did reopen the online store but it was confusing how to purchase as well as yarns i want was already discontinued.
Want To Create But … :(
So frustating…
Want to create things aka sewing things but it’s like no time or the situation doesn’t permit. Goodness, my kids.
Actually, doll clothes can be made by crocheting but I don’t know…I prefer sewing. I’m not too fond of crocheted clothes for doll. Perhaps, I take dolls like myself. I mean, I don’t like wearing crocheted clothes. It’s like too heavy and hot. Perhaps, unless in my country, there’s winter, I would like it.
So frustating for unable to do anything.
I wish my boys are going to school soon. I wish they ll get full day school. So tired.

I just realize, Cordelia when AE make the 1/2 version, she has slight feel like lieselotte but in ‘mature’ look… No wonder, I like cordelia 1/4 version. I didn’t know it was 1/2 Cordelia until i translated the chinese language. Haha… I’m so consistent when liking doll…XD… Perhaps, I should buy body for my cordelia…goodness! i forgot to buy her a body and make-up!…i want the best for her but the artist i want to paint her has retired TAT
Reading a book
Bought a book but apparently this is really referrence book. Most pics are black and white and each pic has description. I use Scan&Translator apps for iphone to read this. You can use google translate, too, but i like the previous apps more.
Just open the apps and push the camera button. Let the apps scan the kanji and then we can choose to what language to translate.
New bag! (Review coming soon)
Made this bag for personal use. I have reviewed it if i make it for sale. It will be ok for sale if i make it long time ago but i guess i have grown now. I have learned a lot, thought a lot, tried lots of (new) things (in terms of crafting).
So many things i want to do now. I dont know which one to prioritise. Akh! I guess i will be blogging for a while.
